LAC x CO|TE
CO|TE from the FW22 season decides to collaborate with LAC Milano for a shoes special capsule collection.
LAC stands for Limited Artisanal Collections: it means a slower approach to fashion, giving renewed value to artistry and traditions; it unites innovation with heritage, working locally and thinking globally. LAC is a project of accessories born in 2019. All the products are handmade, following the traditions and are versatile to adapt to modern needs.
The Slippers are a reinterpretation of the classic Friulian shoes are made in full respect of tradition, using recycled materials for soles (bicycle tires) and uppers ( jute bags and recycled fabrics), not using lasers or glues but just scissors and hand and machine stitching. The metal cutting dies used date back to the 1950s.
CO|TE decides to enrich the shoes with an exclusive embroidery handmade by artisans using recycled materials. A variant with two-tone ostrich feathers and a variant studded with multicolored flowers and pearls.
Each pair of Slippers is unique; limited production and manual manufacture ensure product quality and minimal environmental impact.
